• Develop mapping and prospect evaluation skills
• 3D seismic interpretation
• Subsurface framework building for geologic modeling
• Develop relevant skills in identifying and recommending drilling opportunities
• Participate in meetings, presentations, exhibitions, conferences and lectures that add value to the business and enhance knowledge
• Participate in well-site duties
• Other duties as assigned at any particular time by supervisor
• Assist other more experienced geoscientists in conducting analysis of surface and subsurface data
• Obtain exposure to field studies, Formation evaluation, well-site operations, Seismic data acquisition/ processing, Project management, New Field Development etc
REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATE
•Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Geosciences (Geology or Geophysics). Candidates expecting to obtain a Ph.D. or Masters Degree by October 2011 may also apply
•Bachelors degree with a minimum of second class upper in Geoscience (Geology, Geophysics, or physics)
•Possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
•Clear understanding of basic Geoscience concepts and principles
•Geoscience workstation experience will be an advantage
•Excellent computer skills

3 SEISMIC PROCESSING SPECIALIST
* Oversee seismic processing
Geophysical Applications
* Provision of seismic specialist functions to support field studies, drill well/ opportunity generation and maturation, including well ties, velocity model, seismic derivative products
SEISMIC SPECIALIST SKILLS
• Provide seismic operations support
• Provide expert guidance to Service Providers contracted to process seismic data
GEOPHYSICAL APPLICATIONS
• Provide 3D seismic interpretation support
• Perform well ties and seismic modeling
• Velocity modeling
• Generate seismic derivatives
• Rock/Fluid property modeling
REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATE
•Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Geoscience (Geology or Geophysics) with a minimum second class upper Bachelors degree
•Competent/expert skill in geophysical applications or seismic data processing
•A minimum of 5 continuous years of relevant industry experience
•Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
•Full understanding of seismic acquisition and processing
•Must possess expert seismic processing skills
•Specialist seismic skills (well tie, velocity modeling, and seismic derivatives) required to support E & P geoscience functions
